Qaddoumi said the meeting reviewed the situation in Israel and the expectations in light of the Palestinian and Egyptian sides' concern with continuing the peace process and bringing the process out of the current deadlock.
Moreover, Qaddoumi emphasized the necessity and importance of Arab solidarity and the importance of achieving an Arab supporting stance.
In the meantime, Qaddoumi confirmed the importance of activating the US role in the peace process and the solidarity of European - US world opinion with the Arabs to rescue the peace process.
Concerning the communique directed by the Palestinian side to the coming Israeli government, Qaddoumi said the main thing is the importance of accepting the basis upon which the peace process was established, to carry out all the commitments and agreements they have endorsed, and to respect the land-for-peace principle by comprehensive withdrawal from all Arab and Palestinian territories.
