Arab and East-mediterranean health ministers in coordination meetings

Moroccan Health Minister Abdelouahed El Fassi took part this Monday morning in the Arab health ministers council and in the meeting of east-Mediterranean countries, prior to the world health assembly.
The two regional meetings are convened to coordinate stances of the two regions at the world health assembly.
The Arab health ministers had four items on their agenda: the health situation of Arabs in occupied arab territories, Palestine's membership application, Lebanon's candidacy to host the World Health Organization executive council's upcoming session and other Arab candidacies to various commission of the WHO.
The ministers were also requested by the Arab societies of the Red Cross and the Red Crescent to intensify preparations of the 27th international conference of the two bodies slated for next November in Geneva.
The ministers will then take part in the 52nd session of the WHO world assembly convening this May 17-26 where El Fassi will make a presentation.
