US commercial delegation to visit Cairo
Egypt-USA, Economics, 5/17/1999

A commercial delegation from the United States representing three economic organizations -- the Export - Import Bank of the United States, the US Trade and Development Agency and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation -- is to arrive in Cairo on May 25.

The delegation will meet with members of the American Chamber of Commerce and convene meetings with high-ranking officials in the Egyptian trade and economy ministries. It will also meet with businessmen to discuss opportunities for investments and increasing the volume of commercial exchange between Egypt and the United States.

The Export - Import Bank of the United States studies the projects that will be raised by U.S. investors and will review their feasibility as well as providing guarantees after approving these projects.

A source in the U.S. embassy said that members of the delegation visited Egypt during last November.
