IAEA voice will to consolidate cooperation with morocco

Director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Dr. Mohamed Al-Baradaai, voiced the agency's will to consolidate cooperation with Morocco.

IAEA will consolidate cooperation with Morocco, mainly through extending to the Kingdom technical assistance in the implementation of the projects of the Moroccan energy, sciences and nuclear techniques center, Al-Baradaai said during a visit to the Moroccan center.

The IAEA chief was briefed on the recent achievements of the center in matters of the promotion of the peaceful use of the nuclear energy, especially the construction of the first Moroccan nuclear research center in Maamora, north of the capital city, Rabat.

The center, equipped with a 2 mgw research reactor, is destined to research and training activities.
