Chirac stresses commitment to Middle East peace

President Jacques Chirac of France has asserted his country's stand toward the Middle East peace process. He indicated that Israel does not honor its commitiments towards this very peace.
In a press conference he held in Moscow on Thursday at the conclusion of his visit to Moscow, the French president said that France supported and is still backing the Middle East peace process, noting that Israel does not implement its obligations and makes provocation in certain cases.
The French president went on that France has supported the decision taken by the Palestinian Authority to postpone the declaration of Palestinian statehood.
