AL chief to visit Lebanon on Sunday
Lebanon-Regional, Politics, 5/14/1999

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid will visit Lebanon on Sunday. The visit will last for four days.

In a statement he made to reporters in Cairo on Thursday, the AL chief said that during his visit to Lebanon he will meet with Lebanese President Emile Lahoud and high-ranking Lebanese officials to hold talks on the current Arab conditions, especially the situation in south Lebanon in light of the repeated continued Israeli aggressions against Lebanon and means of coordinating and unifying Arab stances concerning the Middle East peace process.

During his visit to Lebanon, the AL chief will take part in the inauguration of works of the second conference for the Arab "arbitration" centers, organized by the general secretariat for the arbitration centers in cooperation with the Cairo trade arbitration center. The conference will take place on next Monday and Tuesday.
