Morocco and Hungary pool efforts against organized crime

Morocco and Hungary signed Wednesday in Rabat an accord providing for the consolidation of cooperation in the struggle against organized crime and drug trafficking. The accord -- initialed by Moroccan Interior Minister Driss Basri and his Hungarian conterpart Sandor Pinter-- provides for the exchange of information on criminal groups, drug dealers, illicit arms trafficking, car theft and forgery of bank-notes and bonds.

Morocco and Bulgaria also agreed to set up a joint committee to follow up the implementation of the agreement provisions.

Last week, Morocco signed with Belgium a cooperation accord for the struggle against organized crime, drug trafficking, illegal immigration, travel document forgery and money laundering.
