Head of the association of Lebanon industrialists, Jacques Sarraf, said in a press statement to ArabicNews.com that, "There is a commercial agreement with Egypt that was signed in 1998 for liberating most goods from customs fees, whose application will be for implementing the Arab free trade zone."
He added, "We discuss with our brothers in Egypt establishing a union for the Arab industrialists that will contribute to removing obstacles of customs restrictions and opening the Arab markets as well as working on reducing production costs."
He emphasized that the investment climate in the two states is excellent, adding that Lebanese businessmen invested in 28 projects in Egypt whose value reached 400 million Egyptian pounds.
