Israeli chief of staff: Israel's interests call for withdrawal from south Lebanon

Israeli chief of staff Shaoul Mofaz states that Israel's interests call for a withdrawal from the area which he called the security zone in south Lebanon. Mofaz expressed his desire to complete this withdrawal rapidly, but he did not clarify means of achieving it.
He added at his meeting with Israeli businessmen in Beersheeba that he hopes this withdrawal takes place while he holds the position of chief of staff.
