Beirut hosts Arab capital markets conference

Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss on Wednesday in Beirut opened the fifth annual conference on Arab capital markets.
In an inaugural speech, the Lebanese Prime Minister indicated the importance of setting up an Arab free trade zone in order to advantage the Arab states in "what is called globalization."
Al Hoss added, "Lebanon is determined to develop the Beirut stock exchange market and to continue the process of building and development." Taking part in the conference are a number of Arab Finance ministers and a large number of businessmen and economists."
