Sudanese president's advisor meets Jafar Nimeiri today

The Sudanese president's advisor for political affairs, Abd El-Basset Mesbedrat, met today with former Sudanese President Jafar Nimeiri to discuss the arrangements of Nimeiri's return to Sudan on May 25, which will coincides with the anniversary of his assuming power on May 25 1969.

Following the meeting the, Sudanese advisor said that there will be a formal people's reception for Nimeiri as the president of the country for 16 years, where Sudan will work on making this reception a national reception and not a political bargain.

He added that the country is greatly concerned with providing peace, security and suitable housing for Nimeiri, denying that Nimeiri will be presented for trial after his return.

The Sudanese advisor also said that current Sudanese Presidnet Omar El-Bashir is going to meet soon with leaders of parties that were registered according to the laws of political multiplicity to discuss recent developments following the meeting held between the head of the parliament Hassan El-Turabi with the leader of the opposition Ummah Party, El-Sadek El-Mahdy.
