Morocco, Health, 5/11/1999

Morocco's national strategy in medical continuous training seeks to widen health care coverage and improve hospital management, said Monday here Moroccan health minister Abdelouahed El Fassi.

The strategy --which took into account the country's regionalization and decentralization policy-- also seeks to enhance access to medicare and rationalize management of human resources and hospitals, the Moroccan minister said while presenting the plan set by his department to bolster medical continuous training.

He underlined the importance of continuous training to endow Moroccan nurses, para-medical staff and physicians with the necessary skills and knowledge to improve the health conditions of Moroccans and protect them against killer diseases.
