Syrian military exercises in the presence of high-ranking Lebanese officials

Under the patronage of President Hafez al-Assad, a Syrian armored combat unit on Monday carried out a tactical military exercise. It was attended by Defence Minister Lt. Gen. Mustafa Tlass, ranking officers from the general command in the Syrian army and a number of ranking Lebanese officials.
The Syrian army's chief of staff, Lt. Gen. Ali Aslan, and his companions were briefed on the process of the military exercise and the role played by each type of land and air military unit.
