Egyptian FM confers with chairman of Sudanese opposition Ummah party

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa met on Monday in Cairo with the leader of the Sudanese opposition Ummah (Nation) party, al-Sadeq al-Mahdi.
Following the meeting, al-Mahdi said he briefed the Egyptian minister on his efforts and talks with different sides in Sudan to achieve peace and stability in Sudan. Al-Mahdi stated that Egypt plays a key role in achieving the ambitions of the Sudanese people, a matter which made viewpoints identical in several points advocated for the interests of Sudan's stability.
Al-Mahdi asserted the importance of getting all Sudanese sides involved in the reconciliation dialogue.
