Road Accidents Soaring in Tunisia

About 11,300 road accidents happened in tunisia in 1998, killing 1,330 persons and injuring 15,450 others. Tunisian "Le Temps" Daily, which reported this Monday the news, says in 1997 there were 10,759 accidents during which 23 persons were killed and 881 others were injured.
The daily -- which attributes the accidents to drivers, bad road conditions and weather-- says that 71 road accidents occur in Tunisia every two-days claiming seven lives and 84 injured.
