Meeting of Maghreban Union Follow-Up Committee not yet officially Confirmed, Algeria Says

Algeria has said that there has not yet been any official confirmation for holding on May 15-16 a meeting of the follow-up committee of the Arab Maghreb Union (UMA). The UMA follow-up committee meeting is scheduled for mid-may, but the meeting has not yet been confirmed, spokesman for the Algerian foreign department, Abdelaziz Sbaa told the press.
Maghreban press reported recently that the follow-up committee would meet mid-May to assess the march of the Maghreban union and pave the way for a Maghreban summit next fall in Algeria.
