UAE president confers with Pakistani premier

President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan al-Nahyan met on Sunday night in Abu Dhabi with Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. Talks dealt with developments in the Gulf region and the Middle East as well as cooperation relations between the UAE and Pakistan.
Sharif's visit to Abu Dhabi lasted for a few hours and his program was limited to meeting with Sheikh Zayed and holding quick talks with him on issues of mutual concern.
Observers say that Sharif's two visits to the UAE within a few months reflect the existence of "remarkable" relations between the UAE and Pakistan.
The Pakistani premier was welcomed and seen off by UAE Deputy Premier Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed al-Nahyan.
