France helps Morocco develop with loans worth 2.4 billion francs

The French agency for development announced that the total of the agency's loans specified for basic development in Morocco, amounted to 2.4 billion francs during last year.

In a press statement to ArabicNews.com, its Cairo office said that Morocco was the largest recipient of the agency's loans in the Arab region during 1998.

Meanwhile the statement said that Morocco made use of direct investment of the agency's loans to finish the second part of a project to bring electricity to Morocco villages linking 1,600 villages to the kingdom's united network which serves nearly 900,000.
