Arab civil aviation organization adopts air transports liberalization program

The Arab Organization for Civil Aviation adopted an executive program for the gradual liberalization of Arab air transports.
At the end of its general assembly held this week in Morocco, the Arab organization agreed on the legal aspects of the Arab airliners liberalization to be implemented gradually from this year up to 2005.
The assembly also agreed on a common automatic booking system and called for the reinforcement of air safety and security.
The general assembly debated the exchange of experiences in airport management, latest navigation techniques and the impact of the projected Arab free trade zone and common market on air transports in the Arab world.
