Musical conference ends meeting in Beirut

The 15th Arab musical conference concluded on Wednesday its meetings by recommending the establishment of a union for higher music institutions.
The conference also recommended granting the yearly Shuhada appreciation award to the Egyptian opera house.
The conference urged for the formation of a regional center for children's music teachers.
A statement by the secretary general of the conference Kifah Fakhouri said that kuwait's Amal Bacheer, iraq's Khaled Mohammad Ali and tunisia's Mohammad Saadah are the winners of the musical appreciation awards.
Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Algeria, Oman, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Sudan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Tunis, Iraq, Syria and Libya participated in the four-day conference.
