Arab experts assess in Beirut economic and social development since 1975

Experts from the Middle East are meeting here to assess economic and social development reached in the region during the last 25 years.
The meeting to close doors on Thursday is held by the Beirut-based UN Economic and Social Council for West Asia.
It gathers experts from 13 member countries and representatives of several UN bodies, including the UNDP and the ILO.
Experts are debating economic and social issues, mainly development of external trade, monetary and fiscal questions, population, the World Trade Organization negotiations and the water problem.
They are also expected to identify economic and social priorities for the ten coming years.
