Bulgarian vice-president in Morocco
Morocco-Bulgaria, Politics, 5/5/1999
Bulgarian vice-president, Todor Kavaldjiev, arrived in Rabat on Wednesday for a four-day visit to Morocco meant to consolidate the economic and political ties between the two countries.
Kavaldjiev told the press upon arrival that he will hand King Hassan II a message from Bulgarian president Petar Sto Anov.
He added that Morocco is known in Bulgaria for its wise policy and for being a factor of stability in the Mediterranean.
Kavaldjiev will confer with Moroccan officials, including Prime Minister, Abderrahmane Youssoufi, on ways to enhance economic cooperation between Morocco and Bulgaria.
The two countries are to sign by the end of the year an accord to enhance trade exchanges that did not exceed $ 18 million in 1998.
