Syria denies contacts with Israel over Arnoun

The Lebanese daily al-Safir said that high-ranking Syrian diplomatic sources have denied having made contacts with Israel, especially concerning the occupied Lebanese town of Arnoun.
In its Tuesday issue, the Lebanese daily reported that, "Israel has reoccupied the town and thereby prevented perpetuating the liberation of the town made by Lebanese students and youths."
The paper added that, according to the Syrian sources, Syria and Lebanon did not ask the Lebanese resistance to amend its programs of its legitimate resistance works against the Israeli occupation forces in south Lebanon.
