Cairo: $300 million Indian project for fertilizer production

Indian companies are discussing establishing a fertilizer factory in the Suez Canal with investments of $300 million.
Mohammed Abd El-Rehim, head of Asian administration in the Egyptian commercial representation body, told ArabicNews.com that the two companies are Intertrade and Shampala.
He said the two companies previously obtained a transaction for exporting fertilizer from the Abu Keer Company for Egyptian fertilizers to India and contributed to establishing joint projects for exploiting phosphates in the Abu Tartour area for manufacturing fertilizers.
