Organization of African Unity condemns coup d'etat in Comoros Islands

The Organization of African Unity condemned the coup d'etat that took place last Friday in the Comoros Islands.
The OAU exerts efforts to reach an agreement that restore the unity of the Comoros Islands Republic and Anjouan which seceded from Comoros in 1997 to institute self-rule.
The Arab League and the OAU coordinated with each other regarding the developments in the Comoros Islands.
Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid sent a message to OAU Secretary General Salem Ahmed Salem that tackled the moves made by the AL for the stability and unity of Comoros.
