Qaboos receives Lebanese Mufti

Chairman of the Lebanese Higher Shiite Council, Sheikh Muhammad Mahdi Shamseddine, continues his official visit to Oman. On Monday he met with Sultan Qaboos, and the two men "discussed Arab and Islamic issues over which views were identical," according to a statement by the Shiite council in Beirut.
On Monday, Sheikh Shamseddine also visited Sultan Qaboos University where he gave a lecture on the dialogue among civilizations and religions and how to maintain a dialogue and bring viewpoints together among the Muslim sects.
