AL chief cancels visit to UAE

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid has canceled a visit which was scheduled to be held to the United Arab Emirates on May 4 - 6 to take part in a symposium organized by the Arab Monetary Fund on the implications of the euro on the economies of the Arab states.
Sources at the AL attributed the cancelation of this visit to urgent contacts for the AL chief that prevented the making of his visit to the UAE.
