Cairo: A conference on factional experience

The works of the conference to be held next Wednesday in Cairo on the future of factional politics in Egypt, in which representatives of the majority of political movements including the ruling national party are participating. The conference will organize the "group for democratic development" which is independent of the government.

Negad El-Boraie, the manager of the "group for democratic development", said the conference aims at discovering the real reasons behind the weakness of the factional movement in Egypt, saying, "We can never talk about strong parties without committing to real democracy."

The two-day conference, entitled "The slogans of political parties in the contemporary and future age," in which 40 leaders in politics and law, as well as members of the people's assembly, parliament, and Shura council will deliver speeches on the problems of the law of parties, electoral process and the internal factional crisis.
