Officials of Mideast, North Africa regions discuss inter-Arab tourism
Regional-Syria, Economics, 4/30/1999

Tourism officials in the Middle East and North Africa regions are discussing ways of activating inter-Arab tourism during their 18th meeting which opened this Friday at the Syrian capital.

Government and other non-government officials will tackle the executive and practical steps for the eradication of all obstacles confronting the development of inter-Arab tourism.

A seminar will be held on the sidelines of the two-day meeting to examine needed measures to serve Arab tourism and lift obstacles that negatively affect the flow of tourists and investments in tourism projects.

The seminar will also tackle the appropriate means of encouraging cooperation among the concerned countries in joint tourism, entry visas and the activation of the role of the international and regional organizations in this respect.
