German banks and companies search for investment opportunities in Egypt

The Federal Union of German Industries (BDI) along with German Companies for Investment and Development (DEG) called on the Egyptian government to have a German partner to establish mutual projects with the aim of exporting to German markets.

Sources in the German embassy in Cairo said that Egyptian companies seeking to cooperate with German partners should provide date on the current activity of the company, the nature of the required partnership and the ways of financing this participation or if it is to be confined to transfer of technology or administrative training.

The sources pointed out that the German banks and companies requested detailed information on the projects that the Egyptian companies wish to implement on the BOT (build-operate-transfer) system and the public enterprise sector presented to investors.
