Israeli Foreign Minister Ariel Sharon has asserted that the postponement in declaring Palestinian statehood is an Israeli achievement. Israel Radio quoted Sharon as saying on Wednesday that the adherence of the Israeli government to its political opposition to the declaration of the Palestinian state has foiled any gain that might be attained by Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in this respect.
