British - French compete for purchasing the Egyptian fuel stations

The French company Total and the British Shell company are attempting to purchase Egyptian fuel stations affiliated to the Cooperative Society for Petroleum and the Egyptian Company for Petroleum raised for sale according to the Egyptian privatization program.
A source who is closely related to the Egyptian public works sector stated that Total presented a specific offer to purchase the Cooperative Society for Petroleum stations while Shell's offer is focused on purchasing Egypt's petroleum stations in addition to an offer presented from Shell, British Petroleum, British Gas and Amoco to discuss the possibility of developing the Egyptian network for natural gas.
