Bahraini bank to open branch in Saudi Arabia

The Saudi Arabian currency corporation, Sama, agreed to opening a branch for the Gulf International Bank, commercially registered in Bahrain, which recently bought shares of the Saudi International Bank inside Saudi Arabia and thus, Gulf International became the first non-Saudi bank to opens a direct branch inside Saudi Arabia, a matter which opens the door for similar steps by other banks.
The market for Saudi banks is considered the largest in the Middle East, as Saudi banks occupy the top position regarding capital and assets, in addition to what has been achieved by these banks in recent years regarding direct or indirect services.
