An invitation to King Abdullah to visit Kuwait

An official source in Amman said on Tuesday that Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah has extended an official invitation to King Abdullah of Jordan to visit Kuwait. The source said that Kuwaiti Minister of Justice and Islamic Trust Ahmad Khaled al-Kleib delivered the invitation to King Abdullah.
The Jordanian official source added that the message dealt with "bilateral relations and desire to maintain direct contacts as best the means of foster these relations."
Relations between Jordan and Kuwait were tense during the Gulf War. In March this year, relations between the two states were normalized with the reopening of the Jordanian embassy in Kuwait.
