Violence continues in Algeria

Armed groups in Algeria on Monday killed an old woman and her five year old granddaughter near Ein al-Neiban in Ain Defla province, according to the Algerian daily al-Khabar. The paper added that a bomb was exploded in the old mosque in the center of Khamis Melyana in Ain Defla province. No casualties were reported.
The Algerian daily al-Youm said that security forces killed an armed group member and another gunman was arrested inside the capital, Algiers. The paper added that two policemen were wounded during mopping-up operations and several armed men were arrested.
