Saudi crown prince confers with New Zealand's trade minister

Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz met on Tuesday in Jeddah with New Zealand Foreign Trade Minister Alexander Lockwood Smith, currently visiting Saudi Arabia. Means of strengthening trade and economic relations between Saudi Arabia and New Zealand were reviewed.
Earlier in the day, Saudi Minister of Trade Osama Jafar al-Faqieh met with Smith. The two ministers reviewed areas of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries, means of giving them a push forward and available investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
The volume of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and New Zealand was estimated in 1997 at 1222 million Saudi riyals, the trade balance favors Saudi Arabia at 424 million Saudi riyals.
