Prince Sultan in Tunis today
Saudi Arabia-Tunisia, Politics, 4/27/1999

Saudi Minister of Defense and Aviation Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz is to arrive today in Tunisia on a five-day official visit in his tour that includes Pakistan and Iran.

Prince Sultan will hold talks with Tunisian President Zein El-Abedin Ben Ali and with his Tunisian counterpart as well as high-ranking officials regarding aspects of relations between the two states and new developments in the Arab and international arenas.

The Saudi official is also to discuss economic and commercial cooperation, which witnessed a remarkable development and coordination in investment and commercial exchange fields.

A Moroccan report stated that Saudi Arabia occupies the first position in the Arab arena regarding investment in Tunis as it exceeded $500 million and that the Tunisian exports to Saudi Arabia reached $23.7 million in 1997, while Tunisian imports from Saudi Arabia reached $43.5 million.
