Jordanian monarch due to make European - American tour

During the first half of May, Jordan's King Abdullah II will make a European tour followed by a visit to the United States aimed at collecting political and economic support for Jordan, attracting investments and supporting the Jordanian - European partnership.

The Jordanian newspaper al-Dostour said yesterday that a high-ranking official delegation and an economic delegation will escort the Jordanian monarch on his tour.

The newspaper also said that King Abdullah's visit to the Belgian capital, Brussels, will be his first stop, followed by the British capital, London, adding that the German and French capitals may be listed on King Abdullah's agenda and that he will conclude his tour by visiting the US.

This tour comes following an Arab tour made recently by King Abdullah.
