Moussa says Egypt is deeply concerned with Sudan's unity

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa renewed his confirmation that Egypt is concerned with the unity of Sudan and keeping Sudanese interests, and not to stand against any Sudanese interest.

Answering journalists concerning the statements of Sudanese President Omar El-Bashir in which the latter called on Egypt to expel the Sudanese opposition.

Moussa said Egypt works to solve the problems of Sudan with all Sudanese people with all their directions.

Meanwhile, Moussa said the statements of El-Bashir also contained confirmation from his side on the importance of Egyptian -Sudanese relations and that Egypt welcomes this part of the statements.

Moussa then expressed his hope that relations between Egypt and Sudan will improve more and that any problems between the two countries will be solved.

Concerning the crisis in Kosovo, Moussa stated that there are several suggested political initiatives for solving the crisis and that the reply of the Yugoslavian government is awaited to these initiatives, at the top of which comes the initiative of the UN's secretary general.

Moussa said there are two main problems should be solved: the ethnic purges against the Kosovar people that requires military actions against Belgrade and repatriation of refugees. He said these problems could be halted by the approval of the two sides, NATO and Yugoslavia, to peace talks, emphasizing that the political alliance should not contradict with the United Nation's policy.
