Monte Carlo radio said on Sunday that the Russian foreign minister has denied following his recent visit Syria any "connections between the postponement of President Hafez al-Assad's visit to Russia which was scheduled on April 12 and Russia's rejection to supply Syria with weapons." UN secretary General, Kofi Annan, received on Friday at the UN headquarters Moroccan minister of foreign affairs and cooperation, Mohamed Benaissa, who conveyed him a verbal message from King Hassan II praising the UN chief actions in favor of the world body. A Chinese delegation is to arrive in Cairo in the middle of May, to continue studying partnership with Egypt in implementing the project of the Suez Gulf, that has a volume of investments amounting to 150 billion pounds and providing 2.5 million job opportunities. The follow-up report released by the Egyptian Works Sector Ministry referred to the start of implementing five projects for fertilizers, cars, buses and metal substances in the first region of the Suez Gulf, one of the new industrial regions, in addition to six projects for ceramics, porcelain, health tools, mining, white cement, iron, steel and chemicals in the second region.
