Mutual messages between Mubarak and Gaddafi

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received a written message today from Libyan President Moammar Gaddafi that was conveyed by Egyptian Minister of Information Safwat El-Sherif who visited Libya, where he met the Libyan president and delivered him a message from President Mubarak congratulating Gaddafi on the lifting of UN sanctions and resuming normal relations between Libya and the world.
El-Sherif said the Libyan message included the Libyan president's appreciation for President Mubarak for his role in supporting the Arab nation's causes and Lockerbie.
El-Sherif said, "The message also comprised the results of the peace efforts Libya seeks to achieve among the African countries in the Great Lakes area in addition to Arab issues and bilateral topics of common concern."
