Morocco and Senegal have great joint business opportunities
Morocco-Senegal, Economics, 4/26/1999

Morocco and Senegal have great joint business opportunities in the fields of handicraft, agribusiness and industry, said Moroccan Ambassador in Dakar, Driss Ennahdi.

In a statement carried out Friday by independent Senegalese daily "Le Matin," Ennahdi said Moroccan entrepreneurs are interested by several Senegalese products namely by leather and gold and affirmed that some Moroccan engineers are participating in gold prospecting operations in Senegal.

The Moroccan diplomat said further that the two countries are also working on an aeronautic project and stressed the need of setting up a joint Moroccan-Senegalese trade chamber to rev up commercial exchanges and enhance economic cooperation between the two African countries.

The Moroccan diplomat made the remarks on the occasion of the several-day visit President Abdou Diouf is paying to Morocco since Friday.
