King Hassan II receives Senegalese president
Morocco-Senegal, Politics, 4/26/1999

King Hassan II, accompanied by Prince Moulay Rachid, received on Friday evening in Marrakesh (southern Morocco) President Abdou Diouf of Senegal, who arrived the same day in Morocco for a several-day visit. The king had afterwards held talks with the Senegalese head of state and hosted a dinner in his honor.

The Senegalese president arrived Friday in Morocco accompanied by his spouse, Mrs Elizabeth Diouf, and Foreign affairs minister, Jacques Baudin.

Mrs. Elizabeth Diouf will attend an international child's charity night to be held in Rabat this April 24 under the chairmanship of princess Lalla Meriem, eldest daughter of King Hassan II.

The event will be marked by a performance of Senegal's national ballet "Le Ballet de la Linguere" and will be followed by a gala dinner.

The Night's proceeds will go to four Moroccan associations working in favor of disabled and poor children.
