Syrian- US economic talks

Syrian Deputy Premier for Economic Affairs Salim Yassin on Sunday received US Deputy Undersecretary of State for Trade Affairs Molly Williamson, who arrived in Damascus on Saturday.
Talks dealt with trade and economic relations between Syria and the US, especially between the two countries' businessmen and the opportunities available for investment, facilities provided to Arab and foreign investors and guarantees offered in this respect. Yassin stated that, "Syria welcomes foreign investments according to regulations and rules enforced in Syria to this end."
