Israel attacks south Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 4/26/1999
Israeli forces on Sunday, from their positions in Zaffateh, bombarded the Kfour Valley district in the central sector of south Lebanon.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli artillery positioned in al-Zaffatah bombarded al-Tuffah district's mountainous areas. The Israeli bombardment resulted in destroying the deserted Lebanese army barracks in upper al-Nabatiyeh town.
The attacks were accompanied by heavy machine-gun fire, and intensive flights by Israeli war planes were carried out over extensive areas of south Lebanon and its western Bekaa. The Israeli warplanes carried out low-altitude mock raids, dropping thermal balloons.
