Mubarak and King Abdullah review summit with Syria

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak received a phone call last night from Jordan's King Abdullah Bin Hussein, during which King Abdullah informed Mubarak about the results of talks he held with Syrian President Hafez al-Assad, his son Bashar al-Assad, and Foreign Minister Farouk al-Sharaa.

A Jordanian royal statement said the phone call tackled Egyptian - Jordanian bilateral relations, Arab, regional and international issues of common concern topped by the peace process in the Middle East and means of supporting it.

The statement said that King Abdullah hailed President Mubarak's efforts to support peace efforts and the peace process.

Egyptian sources told ArabicNews.com that President Mubarak informed the Jordanian king on the results of his meeting with Israeli President Ezer Weizman and the bilateral issues that were discussed during the meeting.
