AL voices support for Lebanon

Arab League Secretary General Esmat Abdul Meguid has sent a message to Lebanese Prime Minister Salim al-Hoss, announcing the AL's full support for the Lebanese government's attempts to restore the town of Arnoun.

The AL chief said "I expressed in the message, that the AL is anxious about the recent developments in South Lebanon," adding that he "briefed the Lebanese foreign minister, Salim al-Hoss, on the message I sent to the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, the chairman of the Organisation of African Unity, chairman of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference and other senior officials."
