Hizbullah criticizes April Understanding statement

Lebanese Parliamentarian Muhammad Raad, who is also chairman of the political council of the Hizbullah party, has strongly regretted the content of the statements released on Tuesday by the April Understanding Monitoring Committee which considered the killing of the Israeli soldier during a resistance operation near al-Shaqeif castle as a violation of the understanding and its declaration that the occupation of Arnoun was a matter of conflicting viewpoints.

In a press conference on Tuesday, Raad said that the resistance operations are not a violation to April Understanding. He asserted that the resistance operations will continue against the Israeli positions and its allies with no exception, adding that the Israeli attempts to amend the provisions of the understanding will be doomed to failure.

Raad regretted the approval of the Lebanese delegate in the group for the text of the statement. He warned that the statement's formula calls for opening a bilateral negotiation channel over Arnoun.
