Understanding committee condemns Israel

The April Understanding Monitoring Committee concluded its meeting on Tuesday morning by condemning Israel over bombarding Arab Salim and opening fire on the media and wounding one of them.
In its final statement, the committee asserted that the occupation of Arnoun by the Israeli forces has "potential for raising tensions" in south Lebanon. The statement called for taking concrete steps to restore the situation to what it had been prior to April 15, when Israel occupied the town.
The committee asserted that bombarding of Arab Salim and opening fire which wounded a correspondent working for Abu Dhabi television are violations of the April Understanding.
