Bouteflika announced new Algerian president

The Algerian constitutional council on Tuesday announced Abdul Aziz Bouteflika as the new president of Algeria after he won the presidential elections held on April 15. The council stressed that Bouteflika won some 7,445, 045 votes.
With the announcement of the final results of the presidential elections by the constitutional council, the road will be open before Bouteflika to assume his post of office after taking his constitutional oath.
